The Washington Marriott Marquis is a 15-story above-grade hotel including a full-height atrium and an underground building containing ballrooms and a conference center.  The 1,175-room hotel consists of approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft., with approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The building is provided with a below-grade connection to the adjacent Washington Convention Center.

CORE Group conducted code consulting peer reviews for structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and elevator code compliance for this four star hotel.  In addition, Core Group helped provide solutions for code compliance issues raised during the project's permit review and construction.
